Marcraft Mobile Electronics Installation Curriculum

Marcraft Incorporated contracted with RCGI to develop the lab activity manual for their Mobile Electronics Installation Curriculum that is offered to vocational/technical learning institutions. Involved in the development process was a training simulator which is a bench top representation of a vehicle dash board and electrical system on which the participant performs the lab activities contained in the lab activity manual authored by RCGI. The actual dashboard simulator (pictured) was developed by the Marcraft team at their Kennewick, Washington facility and RCGI consultants worked with their engineering team to specify several elements of the design and circuitry. This effort created an effective alternative to an actual vehicle for implementation into classroom learning environments. The simulator and lab activities cover circuit testing and electrical measurements, installations of mobile audio, video, security and remote starters, component calibration and programming procedures, and comprehensive troubleshooting exercises based on real world problems. This is currently the only all-inclusive training curriculum with a supporting step-by-step lab activity book of its kind.

This training program is currently running in high schools, community colleges, and other vocational education programs in over 35 US states.
